Hello and welcome to our November newsletter
Here you will find our news from the last few weeks and plans that you can get involved with in the coming weeks.
As MANY of you will be aware, October 10th was World Mental Health Day and locally, in Wokingham, WIWAG hosted a fantastic Wellbeing Conference.  This was sold out, had around 12 different workshops, 11 Wellbeing Stands, 150 delegates and a great interlude of Singing!  It was a wonderful day, involving many people, which we hope will inspire everyone to look after their own wellbeing. It may also inspire some of you to join WIWAG (Wellbeing In Wokingham Action Group), so please do email if you would like to join us and help achieve even more over the coming year - - we are actively looking for new members, including Committee members.

If you enjoyed WIWAG's Conference you may also be interested in a Wellbeing at Work Conference to be held in Reading's Green Park on November 8th. Do check out the tickets here -  This is a HUGE event - so if Wellbeing in the Workplace is something you are interested in, either because that is your role within an organisation, or because you would like some ideas of how to improve the wellbeing of your own workplace, this is the event for you. Many organisations, workshops, stands etc etc so get your tickets now - they are selling very quickly as the event gets nearer. We will be delivering a workshop there - "Mental Health – let’s make it a priority" - which you can book onto on the day. Love to see you there!!

Here are the details of our next 2 day Mental Health First Aid course in Wokingham in November - you can book on this OPEN course - either as an individual or a few members of any group/workplace. You may not be large enough to have us deliver this training in-house, or you may want to send one or two people to see what it is like?  Whatever your motivation, you can now book this course before it sells out. If you want to know more about MHFA do see our website page here or  do email us if you would like us to deliver in-house.

If you completed your MHFA training 3 years ago - you are now due a Refresher - do contact us as we deliver this half day course (4 hours).
We also provide ongoing support for your Mental Health First Aiders - providing a safe space to discuss the role, how it is working, any difficulties or issues and to refresh skills and knowledge - we recommend this quarterly in 2 - 3 hours sessions.
Many of our Lunch'n'Learns have been well received this month - from our Science of Happiness (always popular) to our Mental Health Awareness and Laughter Yoga - we have a variety of ways to help you think about Wellbeing in it's broadest sense. We have delivered these in Corporate settings, in Community Organisations and for Charities - so applicable in so many different ways. See our Wellbeing page here - where you can download the full list, and contact us for bookings.  We have just a few dates in December left - otherwise, what a great way to start the New Year - and new decade - 2020???

At our last Laughter Yoga session we took some measurements before and after to see the impact it had - quite staggering results for a one hour session in a workplace environment - would this benefit your Workplace? Contact us to discuss / arrange

Unlock Your Wellbeing also delivers mental health recovery sessions in Mental Health Recovery Colleges - do see if you have such a Recovery College near you - they are amazing places. We deliver something called Wellbeing Action Planning (WRAP) and a Happiness Course. We feel very fortunate and honoured to do this really important work, with often vulnerable people. WRAP is a structured way for anyone to live a good quality life, manage their lives through the difficulties and have a plan to help when things begin to deteriorate - whether a mental health or physical health condition - it has broad application.
We were delighted to run a Mental Health Awareness session with Launchpad Reading - an amazing Homelessness Prevention Charity, for some of their volunteers.  It was in the form of one of our Lunch'n'Learns, and was wrapped around their lunchtime, meaning a great use of their precious time.
Can Art have a positive impact on your Workplace?? Borrow a piece and find out!
I came across a local artist Louise Kelly, from Maidenhead, who told me about an experiment she needs help with, so if you would like to borrow a piece of art for your workplace, within 50 miles of Maidenhead, read on.
I am lending 9 different paintings to individuals until the end of November. (One week per venue, for people living/working within 50 miles of Maidenhead, UK).
I am looking to gather evidence on how the pieces can uplift and inspire people’s living and working environments.
In return I would like to photograph the paintings in situ and get some feedback on how they have changed the energy of your home, office, meeting room or public space.
It will be so lovely to see these paintings out and about and to find out more about the uplifting effect they can have" Interested? Contact Louise 07877 540 475 or email me:

And finally something for you to reflect on this month.

Plenty going on as usual, we hope you will join us - hope to see you soon!
Have a BRILLIANT November and do please contact us, link with us, connect and comment on social media - we are here to help YOU to Unlock YOUR Wellbeing!

Very Best Wishes
