August 2019

Many of you will be enjoying your holiday or looking forward to one. Precious time off with family or friends - we hope you have been able to take advantage and enjoyed yourselves.
We have been making many plans for the coming months which we want to share with you.

WIWAG Wellbeing Conference in Wokingham
Many of you will know that we are closely involved with Wellbeing in Wokingham Action Group or WIWAG. We want to tell you first about the Wellbeing Conference we are organising for World Mental Health Day - October 10th.
Plans are now advancing and we have some Sponsors signed up - so as to keep the entry price down to £10 per person for a full day of Wellbeing plus lunch and all refreshments. But if your organisation would like to be involved we still are welcoming further sponsorship. You will benefit greatly from linking your name to this worthwhile event. Contact us and we will talk you through the options, from £250 to £1000.

We have a GREAT line up of speakers, from Nutrition, Sleep, Exercise, Laughter Yoga, Mindfulness, Young people, Social Media and screen time, the Teenage Brain, Personal Resilience - and many more.
The next stage is to open the event up to anyone who would like a stand at the event - which we expect 150 delegate to attend.  If you work or have a business involved in Wellbeing let us know if you would like a stand - just £50 for the day.  We will also be inviting local dignitaries, TV, newspapers, AND have invited Princes William and Harry, who have taken the lead in mental health matters.

To keep up to date like WIWAG's Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/wiwactiongroup/ or contact Unlock Your Wellbeing.
Tickets will be going on sale in the next couple of weeks - again, WIWAG's Facebook group will let you know when and how to get them.

A Hidden Gem - good for your Wellbeing!
If you recognise this amazing piece of art, which is about 30 feet high, you will know about Farnham Sculpture Park, Surrey, which we visited last week, an experience that ticked many wellbeing boxes.  If you get a chance to visit do - its in in an outside wooded space, winding around the site, which hosts dozens, if not hundreds of sculptures. No themes, just astonishingly amazing sights - plenty of WOW moments. A feast for the eyes and senses.
Do you have a little known gem to share?
Open MHFA courses in Berkshire
Here are the details of our upcoming Open Mental Health First Aid courses in Berkshire - fully inclusive, all resources including manual, certificates, pens, lanyards and even lunch.  We love delivering this training and warmly welcome you to join us.
If you would prefer to have this delivered in-house contact us for full details. We are Associate Instructors with MHFA England so you know that we are one of the best - the feedback we receive is outstanding, reflecting the fact that we love delivering this training.

And don't forget our new Support for MHFAiders - regular support for those who take on the role, allowing them to reflect on what they are doing, ensuring good practice, case studies and skills refresh. We recommend to have this quarterly, building up a community of supported MHFAiders who will keep being inspired to continue their role
Not only MHFA - we also deliver the brilliant, practical and valuable i-act training. Mostly for Managers, really helps them to have a much greater understanding of mental health issues and how to address them in the workplace, but also how to be proactive, making workplaces more wellbeing positive. This One Day training equips you with knowledge and skills, a very practical manual, online resources for 3 years and CPD points too. This is proving to be very popular in the workplace, providing Managers with what they need.
Laughter Yoga
Wokingham Laughter Yoga Club will resume in September after a break over summer. However, we continue to deliver Laughter Yoga in Corporate and Community settings - let us know and we can come to you, bringing this slice of fun that belies its many health benefits, both physical and mental.

In addition - our short Wellbeing workshops and talks are still very popular - especially those around Happiness and Wellbeing - do see our website for details - here

We also continue our work in mental health Recovery Colleges and look forward to the new term and meeting more people focused on recovering from mental illness - check your area to see if you have a Recovery College - they are wonderful places!

And finally - something to leave you to reflect on......

Have a BRILLIANT August and do please contact us, link with us, connect and comment - we are here to help YOU to Unlock YOUR Wellbeing!

Very Best Wishes
